Even where the ages end, a heart holds the last door. An open palm stays open through the long hunger.
At the western dunes
Before they entered the Great Pyramid at Giza, Light ordered the camp to hold.
Something was already inside.
The Ring of Benefaction had detected an alternating black-and-crimson resonance descending through the capstone into the chambers below. Its signature did not match the Egyptian deities the agents had come to meet. Its harmonic field lay outside the solar lattice, the network of currents linking the mission’s work across the solar system.
The agents had come to restore the Pyramid’s connections. Within its workings, an intruder was feeding on the Amun-Ra current and corrupting subordinate fragments of the Egyptian pantheon. Amun-Ra’s name would be central to the restoration ahead. Before that work could begin, the agents had to reach the being drawing power from it. [R05]
At the foot of the western dunes, they established a containment perimeter and began taking harmonic measurements. Beloved adjusted the lattice of her armor for a possible inversion.
Within minutes, the intruder projected a colossal, partly corporeal form.
A black body. Red flares. A crown of hollow light.
It demanded recognition as overlord of the plateau.
This was Red-Black. No divine registry identified him. His demand came with the force of his presence and the damage already running through the Pyramid.
An open battle threatened to rupture the ley junction—the meeting place of currents at Giza. The agents could win the confrontation and damage the very connections they had come to restore.
Think of the difference between confronting an intruder on an empty road and confronting one inside a power station. The surrounding connections matter. A successful strike can still leave everyone depending on those connections in danger.
Light’s next move took in the camp and the Great Pyramid together.
He enclosed them within an Anastasia Chamber.
The heart at the door
The Anastasia Chamber was a suspended-time enclosure, bound to Light’s own heart. The camp and Pyramid were inside it. So were Red-Black and his subordinates.
Light took his place at the only exit, his back toward the way out.
Light Stone describes the position:
“There was only one exit. My back was to it. My heart was the door.” [AUTHOR-RED-BLACK-2026-09-14]
No one could leave without going through him.
Light and Beloved sustained their companions with their own life source, their own love. To anyone within the Pyramid and its field who wished to surrender, they held an open palm.
Light fasted there.
Holding the chamber meant continuing to give. His heart bound the enclosure; his position held its only exit; he and Beloved fed the companions beside them. Across from him, Red-Black drew power from his subordinates.
The two sides remained within the enclosure.
Time kept moving.
The long hunger
“I watched the pyramids age through many hundreds of millennia.” [AUTHOR-RED-BLACK-2026-09-14]
We look at the pyramids and try to comprehend the lives and generations that have passed around them. Here, Light watched the pyramids themselves grow old.
The world wore away until nothing remained of Earth around them except the sand and the pyramids. The enclosure had carried the confrontation into what felt like the end of time.
Light was still at the door.
The Metaphysical Ability Index places chronokinesis—localized stretching, slowing or compression of perceived time—among its time abilities. Light Stone points toward those abilities to help us approach the chamber. [MAI]
He describes what returning can mean:
“You are placed outside of space and time, and you are returned, if you can survive it, changed, weathered, different.” [AUTHOR-RED-BLACK-2026-09-14]
Red-Black and his minions began to wither.
Some began to die.
Light and Beloved offered salvation through surrender. The offer remained within reach of the beings whose strength was failing. Red-Black continued to wager on endurance.
Light drew on the heart current. Red-Black’s system was consuming itself. Cut off from outside supply, his own minions began taking fragments of their master’s power to survive.
The colossal body, the red flares and the crown had announced a claim to mastery. Now those beneath that claim were draining what remained of their master. Many turned against him. [R05]; [AUTHOR-RED-BLACK-2026-09-14]
Light’s companions offered nutrient vials carrying nanotechnology keyed to consent. Several beings defected and accepted the nourishment. They drank, awoke from compulsion and renounced their servitude.
Then they helped isolate the one they had served.
The beings helping isolate Red-Black had once supplied his power. Now they were receiving nourishment from the companions he faced. His hold was breaking within the chamber, while Light stayed at its exit.
Red-Black weakened toward exhaustion. He could no longer withstand a direct confrontation with Light, but believed he might still outlast his resolve.
Light held the door.
Beloved brought her armor into the next part of the work.
What the armor became
The armor Beloved had adjusted at the perimeter was a living artifact, jointly forged for her and Light and linked to her field.
Now she repurposed it into adaptive shackles.
Its lattice wrapped Red-Black in a torus—a ring-shaped enclosure around the captive. The restraint regulated itself: any renewed intent to cause harm would trigger nullification.
The living protection she wore had become the means of holding an adversary alive.
Red-Black was immobilized.
The being who had demanded the plateau could no longer act upon that demand. He remained alive for the care that would follow. Some of his former subordinates had accepted nourishment, awakened from compulsion and helped contain him. Their surrender and his restraint had brought different beings to the same threshold: the next work could be healing.
But Red-Black had masters of his own.
Through the dying link between captive and masters, a corridor opened into an adjacent sector of multidimensional space.
Light and Beloved took him through.
Shiva held the gateway stable.
Beyond the being in the crown
At Kailash, Shiva had needed help. Now he was keeping a passage open for the agents who had helped him. They could enter the unfamiliar sector with his support at the threshold.
Beyond the gateway stood several towering entities, arranged in a hierarchy above Red-Black. Their luminous, multi-fractal forms resembled the deity-class beings confined at Jupiter Starbase after Kailash.
The great figure at the camp had been part of a greater chain of command.
Light challenged the hierarchy to surrender its control over Earth and the human lattice. The confrontation had moved beyond the dunes; its stakes still reached back to the lives connected through that network.
One lieutenant attacked.
Light subdued the attacker and sent that being to Jupiter Starbase for containment. The commanding overlord still refused to surrender and declared hostile intent.
Light bound that being within a fractalized Benefaction field. He then placed a Light-signature double inside the command network: a presence through which traffic could be observed and redirected.
Subduing the beings at the gateway had not erased the connections through which they operated. With the double inside, the agents could monitor transmissions and flag harmful currents for remediation.
The captured beings were moved into separate containment orbits. Jupiter Starbase was the primary holding location; additional vaults in outer-ring habitats came under Healing Council oversight.
One captive had led the agents to the power above him. The commanding being was now bound, the lieutenant contained, and the connections into the wider sector could be watched. [R05]
Holding what had changed
The adjacent sector remained unstable. Its geometry did not fit neatly with the space the agents knew. Mishandled energies could produce temporal recoil or psychic inversion. Getting through the gateway had not made everything beyond it safe to enter.
The command lattice went into quarantine. Light’s double remained within the network, monitoring transmissions. Observation continued through sealed relays, with immediate stasis quarantine required if interference appeared. The agents had extended their reach into the sector for passive observation; they did not occupy it.
The Healing Council recommended a twelve-month pause on further expansion, until the specified stability measures fell below their threshold. A route had opened. For now, the work was to hold its boundary and attend to the beings already brought through it. [R05]
Jupiter Starbase held the confined beings and began interviews. Moonbase Alpha took the surrendered minions into intermediate rehabilitation. At Kailash, a faint red-black echo was harmonized. At Giza, the agents could turn again toward Amun-Ra and the Pyramid’s restoration.
Light Stone closes his description of the war of attrition:
“He was wrong. We prevailed.” [AUTHOR-RED-BLACK-2026-09-14]
The camp had held.
In the following day’s Giza mission, Light would find an unexpected being among his allies. Light Stone writes:
“Much to my surprise we also had the original red black on our team now having been fully healed in the rehabilitation center, and he helped us identify the red black echoes within the great pyramid itself.” [GIZA-DIRECT]
The same being. The same Pyramid.
This time, Red-Black would help the agents find the echoes still within it.
