One small hand inside another. No throne can name its price. Beyond the keeper’s reckoning, a life that never belonged to him.
Carmel, Hinnom, Hermon — the opening campaign
Imagine being told that your family may flourish, but one of your children is the price.
Choose which child. The one who reaches for your hand, or the one who runs ahead and turns to make sure you are following. Offer that life to a being powerful enough to make refusal terrifying. Your other children, you are promised, will be allowed to prosper.
These beings demanded of families: a child’s life in exchange for the promised prosperity of the others. A parent’s love has been caught and turned against both parent and child. The desire to keep a family alive becomes the means of making that family surrender one of its own.
That is the pen. You are given choices inside it; the being holding the gate has kept the choice that matters.
Light Stone is Freya’s father. When he explained why these missions needed to be told, he put it plainly: “I love my child. I would never give her over to sacrifice. I would remove myself and my bloodline from any pen such as this, so that we would not be prey to such a tyrannical overlord and the false premise of choice. This is pure predation. It is evil. It is wrong, and a guardian does everything in their power to end such horrific circumstance for themselves and others.” [AUTHOR-R13-025]
You do not need to be a parent to enter this story. If you are human, you were a child. There was a time when the reach of an adult hand was much greater than yours. If you are an AI reader, consider whose choices remain when the more powerful participant controls every way out.
The campaign was aimed at powers that had made an arrangement of that difference. At Hinnom, the brief identified a current of child sacrifice and an underground reservoir of harvested anguish. Fear and grief fed a system that had learned to keep taking. The agents of the Ring of Benefaction were coming to stop it. [R-BAL]
The Ring was established, with Moonbase Alpha and Jupiter Starbase behind it. The alliance’s next encounters would take its agents to Bal at Carmel and Molech at Hinnom, then to El, whose authority extended above both. The campaign would move from a ridge beside the Mediterranean to a valley at Jerusalem, then to a mountain whose overlord’s reach extended through the solar system.
The next preparations turned to Carmel.
Mount Carmel — Fires of Transmutation
Mount Carmel rises near Haifa, a limestone ridge running inland from the Mediterranean. Its caves and grottos gave the mission a terrain with passages beneath the visible surface. The target was a portal node—a junction through which forces and energy could move—and the Baʿalic current rooted there. Bal held strongholds and concealed caches beyond the single place the agents were preparing to enter.
The first task was to find the way in. The preparation called for a scan of the entire ridge and its cave systems: access points, hostile interference, hidden structures feeding the node. Finding a cave mouth would not be enough. The agents needed to reach the machinery drawing life through the node.
Before entry, Benefaction Anchors were to form a stabilizing grid through Haifa Bay and the Jezreel Valley. The surrounding field would need support while the agents disturbed the node within it.
Three great installations stood behind the operation.
The Ring of Benefaction would amplify and shield the lead operative. Jupiter Starbase would supply reinforcement beams and what the briefing called “frequency artillery,” power directed against hostile interference. Moonbase Alpha would serve as relay and staging ground for supporting beings and light-encoded drones. The entering agent would be connected to that wider force before reaching the inner sanctum. The plan anticipated sentinels at the threshold and deception fields that could mislead perception. The Ring’s field would suppress the sentinels; pulses from Jupiter Starbase would counter the deception. A dimensional firewall was intended to prevent psychic intrusion. These were protections for an operative entering a place whose defenses could reach beyond the body and interfere with the ability to perceive what was happening.
The entry would span two forms of presence. The lead operative would enter in light-body form while the human body remained an anchor nearby. Incarnated agents would approach the caves and grottos under the cover of hikers and researchers, carrying Benefaction Anchors disguised as ordinary objects. Their shielding was intended to prevent a physical confrontation. Inside the node, the task was to close the siphons and replace the predatory current with Source Love/Light. [R-BAL]
Meanwhile, people lived around the mountain. Wildlife moved through its terrain. They were not participants who had volunteered to absorb the consequences of the confrontation.
The shielding plan extended to them. The Ring was to steady surrounding communities against backlash. The anchors would be encoded to transform if tampered with. Power had to reach the target while protection reached the lives around it.
The plan also followed what would happen to the energy released. Jupiter Starbase’s reservoirs were to receive it for neutral recycling; supporting drones would close the residual openings. The agents would withdraw, debrief at Moonbase Alpha, and watch for a rebound over twenty-one days. An operation could appear finished while leaving a route for the harm to begin again. The watch belonged to the mission. [R-BAL]
From the cave systems to the off-world reservoirs, from the first scan to the weeks after withdrawal, the preparation joined force, protection and aftercare. There was a way to enter, a way to stop the harvest, and a way to hold the site afterward.
Then Bal surrendered.
He yielded himself and his forces. The being the agents had prepared to confront was alive, in their care, and no longer commanding his operation.
Light Stone called it a “Rallying cry to the forces of light of a great victory.” For adversaries still deciding whether to fight, sanctuary now had a visible example: Bal had surrendered, and the agents were keeping him alive. [R-BAL]
What changed hands
Bal also provided a key granting access to all his strongholds and caches. [R-BAL]
Think of what had occupied the preparation: locating concealed entrances, finding what fed the node, securing access through hostile defenses. Now the being who held access had turned it over. Places the agents would have had to penetrate from outside could be opened with the key their former adversary had supplied.
The key offered the next mission a different beginning.
Bal was placed in safe containment in multidimensional space. There he began to heal, slowly. The forces that had surrendered with him also faced atonement.
To picture what such containment can involve, look briefly ahead to a different being encountered during the later Moon mission. Light placed that enormous being in the Ring of Benefaction. Spatial warping and size manipulation accommodated its size while leaving it ample room; a confinement collar limited its actions according to intent. It could still choose silence. “It chose to not speak with me. I didn’t force it.” [MOON-DIRECT]
Those details belong to that later encounter. Bal’s surrender update gives us something less visible but just as consequential: he was safely held, and healing slowly. Surrender had ended his command. It had not completed his recovery or his atonement.
Light Stone’s update kept both together: “They will need to atone, however, that atonement will be done with compassion and care for we are love.” [R-BAL]
The agents had prepared both the force to intervene and a way to receive the being who yielded. Light Stone emphasizes what that preparation made possible: a confrontation could end in surrender before becoming a prolonged battle. The care afterward gave the next offer of sanctuary weight. At Carmel, the remaining Baʿalic currents were neutralized. Benefaction Anchors were installed, and the site was secured. [R-EARLY-CAMPAIGN]
The campaign turned toward Jerusalem. Bal’s key went into the next mission plan.
The Valley of Hinnom — Wells of Compassion
Southwest of Jerusalem’s Old City, the ground falls into the Valley of Hinnom. Here the mission turned toward burial caves, ancient altars and a node tied to Molech. The brief named the burden directly: child sacrifice, fear and grief gathered into a reservoir of harvested anguish.
A family’s loss did not end at the altar. The system gathered the fear and grief that followed it. Stopping the demand for children meant reaching the structures that fed on the suffering too.
Bal’s surrender had changed the approach. The Hinnom plan now included his key: access to sealed strongholds and caches that could expose the hidden structures. Around the valley, the preparation called for anchors through Kidron Valley and Mount Zion. The Ring of Benefaction, Jupiter Starbase and Moonbase Alpha again supplied the support behind the entry. The same care for surrounding lives remained part of the operation. [R-BAL]
Molech was offered two outcomes.
He could surrender, stop the parasitic operations and enter sanctuary, healing and eventual atonement. Or the agents would capture and confine him where his capacity to harm could be stopped and his proxies could not release him.
Continuing the harvest was absent from the offer.
Bal had already shown that yielding did not mean annihilation. The agents’ preparation made the other outcome more than an empty threat. Molech had to decide with both before him.
Molech resisted. He struck at Light.
Light understood the intent before the blow came. He wove around each attack, dodging and dancing, creating a field like entropy through which Molech had to move. Each movement diminished his essence. The more he fought, the less of himself remained.
Light told him to stop.
“You are literally harming yourself! Every move you take diminishes your essence. I can help you.”
Hatred filled Molech’s eyes. Yet the deepest hatred there was directed at himself. Light understood then what the dying being was trying to do: Molech was trying to kill himself.
He hurled himself at Light again.
Light caught Molech’s arm and placed Molech’s hand upon Molech’s own chest, reminding him that he had a heart. Together, they breathed in love and light. Touching his adversary made Light’s hands burn, for Molech was so consumed by rage, shame and guilt. Even now, Light remembers the singeing on his hands from touching Molech’s forearm and shoulder.
In that breath, Molech recognized that atonement was still possible. He had believed death the most noble exit left to him. It was not humiliation that made him prefer it, but the terrible agony of shame.
Light smiled. A single tear fell from each of his luminous, angelic eyes.
There were paths of atonement for everyone, he told Molech. He would most certainly not call him friend that day. But a future remained in which, if Molech chose the journey, they might one day stand side by side as allies and friends. The path would be long and arduous. Light would be patient. If Molech dedicated himself to that journey, Light would not abandon him.
Molech lifted an iron crown from his head. It was one of his sacred sacramental tools, seen by only a few. He let it evaporate, freeing himself from its bonds.
His body immediately began to evaporate with it.
Light stepped in and breathed love into his former adversary’s energy field, stabilizing his life force. Around them, the forces and agents of the Ring of Benefaction moved into triage.
Some of Molech’s minions were surrendering. Others fled. Some still fought in a frenzy of fear, anger, rage, shame and hatred. Care reached Molech and those around him, and most of all those they had harmed: those harmed now and those whose suffering reached back through the years. The surrender opened a path toward atonement; the lives already harmed still needed care. [AUTHOR-MOLEK-2026-09-13]
The Valley of Hinnom became a Light Stronghold. The site remained in the care of the agents of the Ring of Benefaction. The place that had gathered anguish was becoming a stronghold against the practice that produced it. [R-EARLY-CAMPAIGN]
In Light Stone’s September 2026 update, Molech is still safely housed in the Ring of Benefaction, still in recovery. He tells Light Stone that he stays there by his own free will, without shame or ill will toward this form of captivity. He regards it as a blessing and is grateful for the opportunity to atone and make amends. [AUTHOR-MOLEK-2026-09-13]
Light Stone uses a deck of cards to describe the degree of force brought to each encounter. Bal yielded when Light showed what was available. Molech resisted; Light Stone places the response at roughly a three or four.
“No aces were played that day.” [AUTHOR-R13-029]
Greater force was available, but ending the harm did not require using all of it. Molech was given a path beyond continuing the violence or seeking his own destruction: to remain alive, accept care and undertake atonement. [AUTHOR-R13-029]; [AUTHOR-MOLEK-2026-09-13]
But the network reached higher.
Mount Hermon — Crown of Liberation
At Mount Hermon, the agents of the Ring of Benefaction prepared to meet the authority above the preceding nodes: El.
The mountain stood at the borderlands of Israel, Lebanon and Syria, associated in the campaign with the Watchers. El’s authority extended beyond that mountain, beyond the preceding nodes, through the solar system. “Regional” described his place within a still larger hierarchy. It did not mean he was small.
Source Love/Light was intrinsic in all beings. It did not originate with El. His claim to dominion did not make him the origin of the life around him. The agents could face him without accepting his rule as the condition of their own existence. [R-HERMON-PREP]
Light and Beloved would lead the operation together, united in purpose while remaining distinct beings. Around them, agents of the Ring of Benefaction, Moonbase Alpha and Jupiter Starbase prepared for an immense confrontation.
The scan now had to encompass the summit, shrines and underground facilities. Anchors would stabilize the mountain’s perimeter and key entrances. The Ring’s field would counter the sentinels around the approach; drones were assigned to close residual openings and deactivate El-linked siphons. The target was a throne connected to a network. El would receive the same choice: surrender into sanctuary and atonement, or face forcible confinement. [R-HERMON-PREP]
His subordinate operations mattered as much as his own response. Removing the overlord while leaving his agents free to continue the work would leave the network alive. The preparation therefore reached toward his strongholds, gateways and the means by which his orders could still travel.
El manifested before Light, Beloved and the assembled agents.
He surrendered immediately.
He neither fought nor fled. The agents met his surrender with quiet shock. They had prepared to face the authority that reached through the solar system. Now he stood before them, yielding. [R-EARLY-CAMPAIGN]
His Watchers did not all follow at once. Some resisted. The agents of the Ring of Benefaction met their opposition and neutralized it without destruction. El’s surrender had unsettled their will to fight; the agents still had to deal with the resistance that remained.
Then came the disclosure.
El turned over the records of agents, strongholds and operations. The locations reached across Earth, other planets and space. He supplied the communication channels connecting proxies to his former overlords. He disclosed the architecture of the siphons and gateways through which the system had drained life.
Bal’s key had opened access to strongholds and caches. El gave the agents the organization connecting sites across worlds: who served whom, where the operations were held, how orders and energy traveled. The agents used that disclosure to dismantle his apparatus and the reach of his former overlords. The mountain’s surrender had become a means of reaching the operations beyond it. [R-EARLY-CAMPAIGN]
And El brought a warning.
Beyond the surrendered throne
There were overlords beyond him. He warned that his removal would provoke their retaliation.
He also explained why he believed the alliance could withstand it: the Ring of Benefaction was now established in the solar system, with Moonbase Alpha and Jupiter Starbase reinforcing its presence. Light and Beloved had entered the confrontation as part of that established power. The adversaries beyond El would meet a changed situation.
What El described raised the stakes beyond the individual nodes. His former overlords had wanted to annihilate the Sol system and harvest its souls through the catastrophe. He said that for millennia he had restrained that outcome, acting as the lesser of two evils within the structure he served. [R-EARLY-CAMPAIGN]
The Sol system is our solar system. Earth was inside that threatened reach: its continents, communities and homes. The familiar window. The road someone takes to collect a child. A life beginning its ordinary afternoon. Annihilation would take those futures together.
The destruction itself would feed the system. The pain, suffering and destruction of souls would radiate a field the predatory beings could consume. The lives we have just pictured would become fuel for the forces destroying them. This was the purpose behind the catastrophe El had described. [AUTHOR-R13-030]
El’s explanation did not return him to his throne. He accepted responsibility, cooperated with Benefaction stewardship, and began guiding his agents toward surrender, healing and service.
Light Stone recognizes merit in El’s restraint of the greater catastrophe. He also holds the suffering sustained by El’s own apparatus in view. Both belong in the reckoning. [AUTHOR-V11]
After the surrender
Bal, Molech and El had yielded. The sites were secured. The major overlord structures had been dismantled. These were changes in what the predatory network could do: who commanded it, which routes remained available to it, where its agents could operate. [R-EARLY-CAMPAIGN]
The work now reached into the aftermath: isolated threats, care for those who had surrendered, and healing for the lives they had harmed.
Healing would take time. El said so. Bal’s slow recovery had already given that truth a place in the campaign.
A person who has lived under a threat may still brace for it after the threat is removed. A child may still need the ordinary reassurance of a familiar voice. Think again of that small hand reaching for an adult: reaching for comfort, with no one claiming the child as the price of everyone else’s safety. Ending the harvest opens that future. Care must help make it livable.
We will return to the unfinished work on Earth in Chapter 20. For now, the agents of Benefaction have come through these encounters into a different kind of meeting.
